Fish on Friday and thanking God for another sober and creative day.

Good day to you one and all...

I painted some postcards today as a way to deal in a creative way with the feelings of loss.

Also I like to focus of the wonder and love in this world. The loss, destruction and evil will take care of itself and eventually fizzle out with realization that its negative energy has no real power, without our attention.

So brothers and sisters, lets look to the light and love in the world and do our little bits in gathering together a mass of goodness, forgiveness and redemption. For others and also for ourselves, as we can be our worst enemies. Yep we can be a bane to others also if we give up the driving seats of our lives to ego.

So for this blog all the artwork is via me and the quotes are from others, and just one from me . But as we are all really one with Christ, then its all from you as well, even though you think you are seeing this for the first time.  Take it as your own and own that which resonates as true and discard that which may hold discord to you!

Oh and because I give thanks for all my eldest sister, Viv has sacrificed for me and my two sons, I have made sure to include plenty of good quotes from wonderful women.

"Once a woman has forgiven her man, she must not reheat his sins for breakfast." - Marlene Dietrich

"Forgiveness is the giving, and so the receiving, of life." - George MacDonald

"To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you." - Louis B. Smedes

"Anger makes you smaller, while forgiveness forces you to grow beyond what you were." - Cherie Carter-Scott

"Forgiveness is the key to action and freedom." - Hannah Arendt

"Forgive all who have offended you, not for them, but for yourself." - Harriet Nelson

"As long as you don't forgive, who and whatever it is will occupy a rent-free space in your mind." - Isabelle Holland

"Forgiving does not erase the bitter past. A healed memory is not a deleted memory. Instead, forgiving what we cannot forget creates a new way to remember. We change the memory of our past into a hope for our future." - Louis B. Smedes

"We are all on a life long journey and the core of its meaning, the terrible demand of its centrality is forgiving and being forgiven." - Martha Kilpatrick

"Forgiveness is the fragrance the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it." - Mark Twain

Jesus is the Resurrection
“I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die."
John 11:25-26 (NLT)

"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." - Mahatma Gandhi

"Without forgiveness life is governed by... an endless cycle of resentment and retaliation." - Roberto Assagioli

Forgiving is giving way to the spirit that washes our hearts clean.
Yours truly.

Have a good evening and weekend. Know that you are loved and appreciated.

Some artwork created in the last day or two ago, for you to look at this Lent.

Hi folks. This work of mine includes a couple of self portraits. Have a good Easter and know that you are loved.

"One should never initiate anything that he cannot saturate with prayer." -- Unknown Saint.

"Men may spurn our appeals, reject our message, oppose our arguments, despise our persons, but they are helpless against our prayers." -- Sidlow Baxter

"Lent is like a long 'retreat' during which we can turn back into ourselves and listen to the voice of God, in order to defeat the temptations of the Evil One. It is a period of spiritual 'combat' which we must experience alongside Jesus, not with pride and presumption, but using the arms of faith: prayer, listening to the word of God and penance. In this way we will be able to celebrate Easter in truth, ready to renew the promises of our Baptism." -- Pope Benedict XVI

“Fasting is the soul of prayer, mercy is the lifeblood of fasting. So if you pray, fast; if you fast, show mercy; if you want your petition to be heard, hear the petition of others. If you do not close your ear to others, you open God’s ear to yourself.” -- St. Peter Chrysologus

"Lent is like a long 'retreat' during which we can turn back into ourselves and listen to the voice of God, in order to defeat the temptations of the Evil One.  "Everything in life has its own time. There is time to celebrate and there is time to mourn. This is the time for reflection and transformation. Let us look within and change into what we ought to be."  -- Aaron Saul

We have got to take note of the following as its so powerful for our own spiritual health and the well being of all that has been created for us all... The universe was and is the most tremendous creation which is a gift to us from God.. I only lost my 14yr old son Harry Alan OKimble last year and Heaven fantastically gained a tremendous, talented soul.

“God shapes the world by prayer. The more prayer there is in the world the better the world will be, the mightier the forces of against evil …” -- E.M. Bounds

So I, my beloved brothers and sisters have fasted today and hit paper and paint, not bottle and sin...

Yep, I know a little wine gladdens the heart, but I am not able to do `little` so its a lot for me or none.
As its Easter its a great time to become tea total..which I am at this moment.
So please in your prayers, ask God to transform this into a permanent state of being for the rest of this lifetime. Thank you and thank you.

Have a peaceful Easter folks. Blessings, peace and love to you all. Your Brother in Christ, Peter.
