Extra Blancmange for my sister Viv

Greetings bods to an odd or surreal blog.
Blancmange was the word of the day.

And now for our just desserts..

This is the painting above, from which all the pictures of
paintings below come. The photo of me is portraying
a sculpture of a gargoyle head I made years ago.
I just wasnt able to do the pointy ears!

Jarod Kintz, Who Moved My Choose?: An Amazing Way to Deal With Change by Deciding to Let Indecision Into Your Life

“Only those who will love longer than they expected to can truly love pecan pie, which doesn't explain its status as death rows most requested last dessert, or why chopped pecans, corn syrup, directions from the Karo bottle's cherry-red side are what mercy taste like to some. But there you have it.”
Kate Lebo, A Commonplace Book of Pie

“You know your child is growing up when he starts looking at girls the same way he used to look at dessert.”
 Vikrant Parsai

I am struggling here to get blancmange quotes so we are reaching the bottom of the barrel with one which doesnt have mange.

Remember, Orestes: you were part of my herd, you grazed in the fields along with my sheep. Your liberty is nothing but a mange eat ing away at you, it is nothing but an exile

I wish I had just one blancmange for my sister viv. I should fling it with great delight
although she say`s `okay lets wait until Harry`s better and we will have a blancmange fight!
I am sure that in this my sons will delight.

My sister Viv who some days is also an artist informed me that `Blancmange` is the word for today!

Painting In Changes

Good day to you. You may be few, but I love it that you look at my site and I am able to share my art, meditations and any thoughts/feelings arising in time.

It is not necessary to change.  Survival is not mandatory.

All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.  ~Anatole France

When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.  ~Victor Frankl

Without accepting the fact that everything changes, we cannot find perfect composure.  But unfortunately, although it is true, it is difficult for us to accept it.  Because we cannot accept the truth of transience, we suffer.  ~Shunryu Suzuki
"Patience is the companion of wisdom." ~ Saint Augustine
You must welcome change as the rule but not as your ruler.  ~Denis Waitley
Change is inevitable - except from a vending machine.  ~Robert C. Gallagher
What can we take on trust
in this uncertain life? Happiness, greatness,
pride - nothing is secure, nothing keeps.
~Euripides, Hecuba

They must often change, who would be constant in happiness or wisdom.  ~Confucius

Life is its own journey, presupposes its own change and movement, and one tries to arrest them at one's eternal peril.  ~Laurens van der Post

The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind.  ~William Blake

You can avoid having ulcers by adapting to the situation:  If you fall in the mud puddle, check your pockets for fish.  ~Author Unknown

Time, which changes people, does not alter the image we have retained of them.  ~Marcel Proust

If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies.  ~Author Unknown

We did not change as we grew older; we just became more clearly ourselves.  ~Lynn Hall

To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly.  ~Henri Bergson

The wheel of change moves on, and those who were down go up and those who were up go down.  ~Jawaharlal Nehru

If you want to make enemies, try to change something.  ~Woodrow Wilson

The foolish love change just as the rich love austerity. ~ Peter G Kimble

Continuity gives us roots; change gives us branches, letting us stretch and grow and reach new heights.  ~Pauline R. Kezer

The foolish love change just as the rich love austerity. ~ Peter G Kimble ( I just fully got this todayFriday 28th March. even though it was me who thought of it a few days ago.. The rich want others to be austere and thrifty and go without, just as the foolish want to stay set in their ways and want others and the universe to change to their wishes!)

If you would attain to what you are not yet, you must always be displeased by what you are.  For where you are pleased with yourself there you have remained.  Keep adding, keep walking, keep advancing.  ~Saint Augustine

Little stones that are pelted into the lake of consciousness should not throw the whole lake into commotion. ~Paramahansa Yogananda, God Talks With Arjuna

God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me.  ~Author Unknown

We all have big changes in our lives that are more or less a second chance.  ~Harrison Ford

Wise people talk less, are silent more, and listen more than those lacking wisdom.

                           .
  • Wisdom derives more from mistakes and failures than from success.

  • Wise people are also humble. There’s really no such thing as someone who is both proud or arrogant and wise.

"Never does nature say one thing and wisdom another." ~ Juvenal

"A wise man, recognizing that the world is but an illusion, does not act as if it is real, so he escapes the suffering". ~ Buddha
