Good day to you brothers and sisters. Some people say that not seeing a person's face is scary. Does the image below seem intimidating to you?
Above is just an artist posing for a shot outside the front door of their residence. You can see from the signs that guns are not allowed, and yet there is a dog inside, or at least that`s what the sign says...
I do not remember who took this shot of me, but am glad it was with a camera. Artists generally speaking don't relish being shot in the line of work/duty...
Here I am again above.
A shot from one of my works.
Not angry, but cross!
Does this appear bleak to you?
A shot of my mum and two of my
brothers. This I took at the house we
we all grew up in. Well actually our
mother didn't grow up here and also
she sold it and moved into sheltered
accommodation.
Hey brothers and sisters, I may have been handicapped with a brain injury, but just as some great race horses are handicapped with extra weights, we can still be winners.
Stress strengthens us but distress can break us. Take a big breath, go out and have a big day.
You are loved. I am loved and we are one!
Your brother of Christ, Peter.
Ps I am currently and hopefully forever in love with the most amazing woman in my universe by the name of Silvia... (not Sonia, thats a past girlfriend from more than three decades ago and I have learnt its not a good idea to call Silvia Sonia. When in doubt I call her my darling!)

6 Things Happy People Never Forget
Does it ever seem like other people are happier than you?
You scroll on Facebook and see people having fun on their vacations, spending time with one another, or celebrating their achievements. You, on the other hand, are struggling along, just trying to make it through the day and coming home exhausted.
In an effort to console yourself, you try to rationalize why you’re in this situation and figure it must just be “bad luck”.
I know, because I’ve been there.
Over time, it can be frustrating. You could be sabotaging your own growth without realizing it. But the good news is that, if you pay attention to your thought process, you’ll realize that you can become in control of your situation.
So instead of holding yourself back, focus your energy on living positively. Happiness takes effort and a change in thinking.
If you want to start being happy, remember to:
1. Focus on improving yourself
Don’t become fixated on other people’s successes. Never mind what that guy has or the accomplishments that girl has achieved. Just focus on your own progress and growth.
It’s easy to become envious of other people when we only see the surface. When you scroll on social media, you’ll notice that people choose to present the happiest parts of their lives, which we compare to both our difficult periods and triumphs. Instead of focusing on other people, work on yourself.
When you focus on yourself, you put in the effort to make progress each day. There’s a sense of fulfillment as you work towards something. When you devote your energy to improving yourself, other people’s achievements and goals become less relevant.
2. Know that self-worth comes from within
People will often disapprove of your choices when you decide to do something that’s unpopular. It’s up to you to decide how much you let other people’s opinions affect you.
You are in charge of how you feel about yourself. Happy people know that there’s always someone who won’t like them for whatever reason. But it doesn’t matter. What matters is this: are you doing what’s best for yourself and other people around you?
Confidence comes from accepting yourself, regardless of what others think. Confidence comes from doing what you believe in. And if you’re confident, people will see that and have confidence in you too.
For example, when I started my site, I worried that people would criticize me or get angry at what I wrote.
But I still pushed on because I believed I could help people who refuse to stay stagnant and improve their lives. It turns out, readers enjoy what I have to say and often send me kind words of thanks! So regardless of what causes you fight for, there will always be a crowd of people supporting you.
3. Make a conscious decision to be happy
You’re probably thinking, “Choose to be happy? Doesn’t it happy naturally?”
I think happiness is largely a question of mindset. If you believe that you need that “one more thing” and then you’ll finally be happy, guess what? You will never be happy.
Happiness comes from practicing gratefulness. Things don’t always go the way you want them to, but at the same time, things that seem bad initially can end up being a blessing. Take a second and stop to appreciate what you have. There are some good things happening in your life that you might have taken for granted.
Being happy doesn’t mean staying stagnant. It means recognizing that you’re on a journey, wherever it may lead, and that you should savor the good things (and even the hardships) along the way. Embrace the challenges you might be facing and learn from them.
4. Stop clinging to the past
Everyone has painful or embarrassing moments from the past. If you want to be happy, decide how you want to deal with painful memories.
Do you feel resentful and bitter about things? This could be crippling your ability to move forward. Or instead, do you acknowledge painful events, learn from them and then put them behind you?
Conversely, don’t let the good memories hold you back from progressing in your life. The best is yet to come. Happiness might take a different form or shape, but it’s there if you want it.
Embrace today. Now is the time to decide what you want to do and who you want to spend time with.
5. Surround yourself with people who are positive and supportive.
The people we spend time with influences who we are. Being with people who don’t support you when you try to improve yourself will bring you down if you let them.
If you notice that the people around you are toxic to your well-being, it’s time to go. It’s easy to remain surrounded by negativity when it feels like there are no other options available.
But there is.
It’s better to be alone than with people who bring you down. Alone doesn’t mean being lonely.
Being on your own is a time for self-reflection, to find ways to improve yourself. And when you approach life positively and make the most of it, there’s a good chance you’ll attract people who feel the same way too.
6. Be truthful.
Sometimes it can be scary to tell the truth. You’re afraid of scaring other people away, or frightening yourself. On the other hand, telling the truth can be liberating.
The good thing about truthfulness is that you don’t have to remember lies, or feel bad about yourself. It means being not stressing yourself out all the time.
Most of all, stay honest to yourself. You are free to make your own choices, to live according to your own mantra, and to fight for what you believe in.
If you find yourself coasting by in life, you might also want to figure out whether you’re truly happy or just complacent with your situation.
Set a goal for yourself
To really live a life, I'll keep exploring the world and never settle.
Here my beloved brothers and sisters are some photos I shot.
I have shot bullets in the past, but now prefer cameras to guns.

Fish on Friday
Peace, love and well being to all.
My blog today celebrates not only my art and news about whats going on in the sphere of my personal life, but also our attention can be drawn here to St Augustine. Saint Augustine of Canterbury in my humble view was one of - if not the prime instrument - our Lord Jesus`s Saints tasked to bring knowledge of the Kingdom of God to these British Isles.
For those of you only visiting my site to see my art and not interested in the life of saints, please scroll down to below the information immediately following this sentence.
St. Augustine of Canterbury
At the end of the sixth century anyone would have said that Augustine had found his niche in life. Looking at this respected prior of a monastery, almost anyone would have predicted he would spend his last days there, instructing, governing, and settling even further into this sedentary life.
But Pope St. Gregory the Great had lived under Augustine's rule in that same monastery. When he decided it was time to send missionaries to Anglo-Saxon England, he didn't choose those with restless natures or the young looking for new worlds to conquer. He chose Augustine and thirty monks to make the unexpected, and dangerous, trip to England.
Missionaries had gone to Britain years before but the Saxon conquest of England had forced these Christians into hiding. Augustine and his monks were to bring these Christians back into the fold and convince the warlike conquerors to become Christians themselves.
Every step of the way they heard the horrid stories of the cruelty and barbarity of their future hosts. By the time they had reached France the stories became so frightening that the monks turned back to Rome. Gregory had heard encouraging news that England was far more ready for Christianity than the stories would indicate, including the marriage of King Ethelbert of Kent to a Christian princess, Bertha. He sent Augustine and the monks on their way again fortified with his belief that now was the time for evangelization.
King Ethelbert himself wasn't as sure, but he was a just king and curious. So he went to hear what the missionaries had to say after they landed in England. But he was just as afraid of them as they were of him! Fearful that they would use magic on them, he held the meeting in the open air. There he listened to what they had to say about Christianity. He did not convert then but was impressed enough to let them continue to preach -- as long as they didn't force anyone to convert.
They didn't have to -- the king was baptised in 597. Unlike other kings who forced all subjects to be baptised as soon as they were converted, Ethelbert left religious a free choice. Nonetheless the following year many of his subjects were baptised.
Augustine was consecrated bishop of the English and more missionaries arrived from Rome to help with the new task. Augustine had to be very careful because, although the English had embraced the new religion they still respected the old. Under the wise orders of Gregory the Great, Augustine aided the growth from the ancient traditions to the new life by consecrating pagan temples for Christian worship and turning pagan festivals into feast days of martyrs. Canterbury was built on the site of an ancient church.
Augustine was more successful with the pagans than with the Christians. He found the ancient British Church, which had been driven into Cornwall and Wales, had strayed a little in its practises from Rome. He met with them several times to try to bring them back to the Roman Church but the old Church could not forgive their conquerors and chose isolation and bitterness over community and reconciliation.
Augustine was only in England for eight years before he died in 605. His feast day is celebrated on May 26 in England and May 28 elsewhere. He is also known as Austin,a name that many locations have adopted. (Maybe in Texas, USA, but I have know infinitive knowledge of this!) So my beloved brothers and sisters - not only of here in The United Kingdom but all over the world, St Augustine is the spiritual being that I am contemplating this glorious day.
Above is a picture of me showing my new
hairstyle, which was created by one my beloved
partner Sylvia`s nieces - Sharelle - a couple of days ago.
The photo take by me does not do true justice to the
work done by someone I consider a wonderful artist!
Here are some pictures of my latest
labyrinth, which is still not completed
and needs approximately another 30%
of the dark lines to have my art added
to it!
Below we can see a small image of my late son Harry, but this is
so small that if people following the way around the labyrinth are
not aware I have placed it where it is, they may well miss it. Me
and you now know it is there now though, don't we!
Below are shots of our wonderful dog Maisy and one of our neighbours dog`s Rocky.
Rocky, above is the neighbours Staff and of course
below is our beloved Staff cross Dog De Bordeaux
Maisy.
This below is my favourite shot of Maisy taken today.
Have a wonderful and blessed day my brothers and sisters.
May I ask for those of you that pray to add for the relationship between Silvia and me to strengthen and be blessed by God.. My thanks to you.
Your brother in Christ and of St Augustine, Peter.
ps. I will be grateful to you for passing this on, as I need your prayers to be stronger and worthy of my beloved Silvia`s love.
