Howdy doody doo. Been painting some more!

Welcome to todays blog my wonderful brother
and sisters. Enjoy and know that
You are loved.

Untitled, but I will say that it seems to me that there may be some fighting going on at the bottom!

Maybe there are souls ascending above.

This one looks like there is a beagle head with
                                           sunglasses on!

Below these are from another painting
which was created yesterday. By me +

Above is a representation of the separation of mankind from God.

Yet Heaven is within us; what we put out returns to us.

Maybe our soul will sail across thanks to the ferryman.

When we see the shadow of the moon do we really know who it is looking!

This universe which seems infinite is nothing at the quantum level; and what seems like nothing is the oneness of God.

That which the mind cannot fathom is the heart; just as the heart cannot discern knowledge. They must guide one another.

Prior to existence there was only the paradox. It is both something and nothing for the paradox that cancels out creates itself.

To a paradox whether its God or whether its real or not is just another paradox; actions and reactions, dreams within dreams, realms within realms.

There has been a celebration in England

                                          EVENING POST

                                                                  JUBILEE

I took some photos of people with painted faces. A bit different from normal!

                                             The Secret People

Smile at us, pay us, pass us; but do not quite forget.
For we are the people of England, that never have spoken yet.
There are many a fat farmer that drinks less cheerfully,
There is many a rich French peasant who is richer and sadder than we.
              There is hunger in our bellies, there is laughter in our eyes;
You laugh at us and love us, both mugs and eyes are wet:
Only  you do not know us, for we have not spoken yet.

We only know the last sad squires ride slowly to the sea,
And a new people takes the land; and still it is not we.
They have given us into the hand of new unhappy lords,
Lords without anger or honour, who dare not carry their swords.
              They fight by shuffling papers; they have bright dead alien eyes;
They look at our labours and laughter as a tired man looks at flies.
But we are the people of England; and we have not spoken yet.
Smile at us, pay us, pass us. But do not quite forget.
                                                                                          G. K. CHESTERTON

Why not my brothers and sisters, dont we hope and pray, that from this day onwards the world gets better every day. We are the force that with love can make the difference! I believe in us.
                                Your brother Peter.

Yesterdays big A2 picture and its little frames!

Good day my brothers and sisters. You can see above from the full picture at the top of this page all the smaller areas that my eyes were drawn to. The three things I see in the one above - and I wont go on about any of the others unless I distract you attention from what your subconscious mind wants to see - are:

1) Near the top left an man is sitting with his back to us. Can just see his head, shoulders and right arm.

2) Just below man to right is a monster emerging, fortunately its attention is not on us.

3) The crosses!

                       The Flower

How fresh, O Lord, how sweet and clean
Are thy returns! ev`n as the flowers in spring;
To which, besides their own demean.
The late-past frosts tributes of pleasure bring.
                                    Grief melts away
                                     Like snow in May,
As if there were no such cold thing.

Who would have thought my shrivel`d heart
Could have recover`d greenesse? It was gone
Quite under ground; as flowers depart
To see their mother-root, when they have blown;
                                  Where they together
                                  All the hard weather,
Dead to the world, keep house unknown.

These are thy wonders, Lord of power,
Killing and quick`ning, bringingdown to hell
                      and up to heaven in a houre;
making a chiming of a passing-bell.
                                 We say amisse,
                                 This or that is:
Thy word is all, if we could spell.

And now in age I bud again,
After so many deaths I live and write;
I once more smell the dew and rain,
And relish versing: O my onely light,
                                    It cannot be
                                     That I am he
On whom thy tempests fell all night.

The above verses were written by George Herbert 1593-1633

Of Welsh extraction (I too had a welsh grand parent) , he gave up his desire to be a courtier and was ordained to a small country parish. He is among the finest poets of the Church of England, of whose spirit and teaching he is an authentic representative.

                  ***************************************************************
So my brothers and sisters. Here today many will be celebrating their queens diamond jubilee, I shall be not taking part as my queen is the mother of my Lord Jesus. I will spend a bit of time thinking what it must of been like for her to see Jesus nailed to the cross.
O but the joy she must have felt to have seen her risen son.

I shall leave you now in the hope that you all have a good day. Those that want to celebrate their queen, will I hope have a joyful time.

Sunday 3rd June and thank God you are seeing this.

A thumbnail picture of a bit of a painting I did yesterday!

Good day my brothers and sisters,
for now I can start by explaining the title of the blog. Its is nearly five in the morning and I always seem to get a chance to go on the computer, when I have a son staying over, if I get up early. They usually stay up late playing games on the computer. I really enjoy it if I can go to bed early enough to awake naturally before dawn.
Its looks wet and bleak outside, here in Luton, England at the moment, but the birds are singing in the day.
Yesterday I went into town and bought another bottle of floating medium, which makes floating paint easy. I was thinking that when I next buy a canvas, to experiment with first painting it with an acrylic base coat and then then spraying it with a fine vegetable oil, before putting more paint on. Thinking about it , I am not sure that would work.

                                     The Secret of the Lord
The secret (friendship R.V.) of the Lord is with them that fear Him. Psalm 25:14
What is the sign of a friend? That he tells you secret sorrows? No, that he tells you secret joys. Many will confide to you their secret sorrows, but the last mark of intimacy is to confide secret joys. Have we ever let God tell us any of His joys, or are we telling God our secrets so continually that we leave no room for Him to talk to us? At the beginning of our Christian life we are full of requests to God, then we find that God wants to get us into relationship with Himself, to get us in touch with His purposes, are we so wedded to Jesus Christ`s idea of prayer - "Thy will be done" - that we catch the secrets of God? The things that make God dear to us are not so much His great big blessings as the tiny things, because they show His amazing intimacy with us; He knows every detail of our individual lives.
"... him shall He teach in the way that He shall choose." At first we want the consciousness of being guided by God, then as we go on we live so much in the consciousness of God that we do not need to ask what His will is, because the thought of choosing any other will never occur to us. If we are saved and sanctified God guides us by our ordinary choices, and if we are going to choose what He does not want, He will check, and we must heed. Whenever there is doubt, stop at once. Never reason it out and say - `I wonder why I shouldn`t?` God instructs us in what we choose, that is, He guides our common sense, and we no longer hinder His Spirit by continually saying - `Now, Lord, what is Thy will?`
Oswald Chambers.

Prayer for the acceptance of God`s will
O Lord, I know not what to ask of thee. Thou alone knowest what are my true needs. Thou lovest me more than I myself know how to love. Help me to see my real needs which are concealed from me. I dare not ask either a cross or consolation. I can only wait on thee. My heart is open to thee. Visit and help me, for thy great mercy`s sake. Strike me and heal me, cast me down and raise me up. I worship in silence thy holy will and thine inscrutable ways. I offer myself as a sacrifice to thee. I put all my trust in thee. I have no other desire than to fulfil thy will. Teach me how to pray. Pray thou thyself in me. Amen.
                                                                                         METROPOLITAN PHILARET OF MOSCOW

I am not sure my brothers and sisters if I have put the above prayer in a blog before. If so then I guess its in again because its a prayer I have not yet said enough and would share with you encase there is one other soul who reads my blogs and is also able to get like me, some fortification from it!

Yesterday I went to the art supplies shop and was fortunate enough to purchase a pad of 25 A2 sheets of pater for £4.99 NORMAL RRP £9.50. I so wonder at times if its too cynical of me to wonder - especially as its a printed label from the manufacturer, not the retailer, which informs me of SPECIAL OFFER. I shall pay no more heed to this. There were other pads of paper there and this is what I chose.
My choices thus far this last say twenty five years have on the whole been good. Having said that, I do now regret not being born into the House of Windsor. Joke. There but for the grace of God go I. O yes, I did also purchase an A1 sheet of SNOW WHITE Canford card.

Its five to six in the morning now and so, before my son awakens I will have a look at Youtube. Lets see what we get when we type in `Our thoughts become our reality.` !

Have a good week and be strong my brothers and sisters and know that we are loved.

Your brother Peter

Saturday 2nd June

Good day my brothers and sisters. I have just been crying and will write shortly, that which I read to bring the tears that are still in my eyes.

I just want to say that the following which comes first, gave me more comfort for taking my elderly mother and my young sons to worship on a Sunday.

June 1   JUSTIN MARTYR c100 - c.165
A native of Samaria who was a philosopher before he was a Christian, he
taught afterwards in Rome, and gives this account of the Eucharist:

On the day called Sunday all who live in the city or in the country gather in
one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets
are read as long as time permits; then when the reading is finished, the
president in his own words exhorts and invites us to imitate the good things
what we have heard. Then we all rise to pray and, as I said before, when the
prayer ends, bread, wine and water are brought, and the president in like
manner prays and thanks God to the best of his ability. The people assent,
saying Amen, and a distribution is made for participation of those things
over which thanksgiving has been pronounced. To those who are absent
the deacons take a portion. Those who are prosperous and willing give as
much as each one thinks fit; and this collection is deposited with the
president, who takes care of the widows and orphans, and of those who are
in want through sickness or any other cause, of those who are in prison and
of strangers who sojourn among us. In short, he is the protector of all who
are in need. We all hold this gathering on Sunday, Since this is the first day
on which God, by making a transformation of darkness and chaos, made
the universe, and on the same day Jesus Christ our Saviour rose from the
dead.

Now, its the following of which I earlier wrote:
June 3 ST CHARLES LWANGA AND OTHER MARTYRS OF UGANDA

In October1884 King Mwanga of Uganda succeeded his father, Mutesa. In
May 1886 he came into conflict with most of his pages, who refused to
submit themselves to be partners in his sexual vices. Many of these had been
enrolled as learners by Anglican and Roman Catholic missionaries.

He asked all those of his pages who had accepted this Christian status
to confess themselves. Immediately thirty youths came forward, both
Anglican and Roman Catholic. Mwanga gave them the choice between
submission to his will or being burnt alive. All chose martyrdom. They
were trussed and thrown into a slow fire; yet not one saved himself by
submission.

Some of us today can learn a strong lesson from this. Calling oneself a Christian is not enough. We have to stand up against evil and never submit to that which goes against the teachings of our Master, Jesus.

This is the wrong way round. Sorry, but try to look at it with the left side of your face down!

Have a good day my brothers and sisters. We are all loved and to fully realize it must pass it on, especially to those who have not yet heard! Blessings be upon us all. Peter.

Fish on Friday Supplement

So my brothers and sisters. This is one of the views I took a photo of this morning as I cycled to Barton to fetch some spring water. Above are two small `peaces` of the painting I done earlier.

Underneath are photos of a painting I have just finished and the paint is still wet. I like to take these as I often like the image better than when the paint is dry. Maybe its a bit like enjoying a run more than appreciating the good of having had a run!

This bit above looks to me like a Mr Snout having a cigar.

In this I like the figure starting to form with those wonderful
                                          white shapes.

This I wont risk stopping you from seeing something I havent by drawing your eye to what catches mine!

Personality
That they may be one, even as we are one. John 17:22.
Personality is that peculiar, incalculable thing that is meant when we speak of ourselves as distinct
from everyone else. Our personality is always too big for us to grasp. An island in the sea may be but the top of a great mountain. Personality is like an island; we know nothing about the great depths underneath, consequently we cannot estimate ourselves. We begin by thinking that we can, but we come to realize that there is only one Being Who understands us, and that is our Creator.
Personality is the characteristic of the spiritual man as individuality is the characteristic of the natural man. Our Lord can never be defined in terms of personality, "I and my Father are one." Personality merges, and you only reach your real identity when you are merged with another person. When love, or the Spirit of God, strikes a man, he is transformed, he no longer insists upon his separate individuality. Our Lord never spoke in terms of individuality, of a man`s `elbows` or his isolated position, but in terms of personality-"that they may be one, even as we are one." If you give up your right to yourself to God, the real true nature of your personality answers to God straight away. Jesus Christ emancipates the personality, and the individuality is transfigured; the transfiguring element is love, personal devotion to Jesus. Love is the out-pouring of one personality in fellowship with another personality.

From MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST
Oswald Chambers

Have a good weekend and may the Love of God come through this blog and touch you, and through you others! Bless you.   Your brother in Christ and of Buddha and all the Saints, especially St Albans.

Friday Post: Early edition

Good day my brothers and sisters. I am already a bit tired and its only 8.30am. Good cause for this. I was up at 4am and by 4.40 had started to cycle to Barton springs. A medium size village outside Luton.
Its seemed like over five miles, but thats only a guess. Anyway I filled up a plastic container with about 10 litres of spring water, put it in my old newspaper round bag and made my way back. After getting half way my neck was hurting so much from the weight of the strap that I emptied nearly  a  third out.

When I go again in a couple of days I shall take a back pack with a couple of smaller bottles. Then again I could always wait until later in the day and go on the bus free, using my disabled bus pass.
In life there are disadvantages and advantages. At the moment I am not working in any moneymaking capacity, so rely on a reasonable monthly income from my works retirement pension and other benefits.
People that have to set of for work at say seven or eight in the morning to get there at nine and leave at five to get home, say six or seven. A lot of them are doing stuff they wouldnt choose as their ideal occupation. I realise its not necessitous for me to go a few miles and get the spring water that is filtered through the clay, for free. In half an hour or so I shall be driving to take my elderly mother to the supermarket and I will check out the price of there spring water, some of which may have even come from Scotland. How is that for a waste of carbon resources?
My mum has just phoned so I shall cut this short and get off. I think nowadays of the wedding in the bible where Mary asked Jesus to provide wine. This makes my tasks for mother seem small!

I hope to be back, God willing, with a Fish on Friday `peace` later. Toodle loo me darlings. Your bro
Peter.
