SATURDAY EVENING POST

Good evening and welcome.

Some of my latest art which was painted yesterday or the day before.

"And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in the foreheads And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light". Revelation.
St John makes reference here to the third eye in the forehead, with its divine light. ( The pineal gland)

"Behold I stand at the door and knock (sound through Om vibration): if any man hear my voice (listen to om), and open the door, I will come to him". (Revelation3:20)

Patamjali (a great Hindu Raga Yogi) wrote, "Meditate on Om to actually contact Iswara (God). Om is his symbol (manifestation of creation)."

"I was in the Spirit (Spiritual consciousness) on the Lord`s day (the day of contacting the devine realms of truth.), and heard behind me (in the medulla oblongata, `behind` or in the back of the head) a great voice, as of a trumpet (the great blissful sound of Om) " (Revelation:10)

"These things saith the Amen (OM). The faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God" (Revelation3:14). St John here speaks of the Cosmic Om sound as the faithful witness or proof of the running of the cosmic motor, the force which projected creation, and the vibration of the sound as it upholds creation.

"And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of great thunder: And I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps" (Revelation 14:2). These different sounds are vibratory Sound, or Om, reverberating all over the universe. By properly listening to and feeling this cosmic sound, one`s human consciousness gradually becomes en-larged, its territory extended beyond the body to include the universe. (one song.)

How about my brothers and sisters I tell you something light to finish the blog on! I took my sons and their gran who is eighty three to the snow dome in Milton Keynes for a two hour snowboard session. I just sat and watched, but was really impressed with how good they were. Their gran also,     sat and watched.             Hope that you are all blessed and that you bless all.

Good day to you my brothers and sisters. I should first say what a wonderful day it is both weather wise and spirit wise. My spirit is lifted up to the Lord! I will say that the photos of my recent work show it whilst it was still at the art therapists. Now though I should like to share a chapter with you from The Inner Life by Thomas a Kempis.

CHAPTER 26

On the Excellence of a Free Mind

THE DISCIPLE. Lord, one who desires perfection must make it his first task to keep his mind at all times set on heavenly things. By doing, he can pass carefree through many troubles, not as one who has not the wit to realize the dangers that beset him, but in the strength of a free mind, unfettered by undue attachment to worldly things. 

  Most loving God, I beg You so to preserve me that I am not overborne by the cares of this life. Keep me, also, from becoming the servant of my body`s many needs, that I may not become absorbed in its pleasures. Save me from all the pitfalls that beset my soul, that they may not overwhelm and crush me. It is these miseries that so heavily burden and impede the soul from entering into the true liberty of the spirit whenever I would. Let me not be overcome by flesh and blood, I entreat You. Let not the world and its brief glory deceive me, nor the Devil and his cunning overthrow me. Give me strength to resist, patience to endure, and constancy to persevere. Give me the rich graces of Your spirit rather than all the pleasures of the world and supplant all worldly love by the love of Your Name. A man of fervent spirit grudges mush attention to food, drink, clothing and other bodily needs. Grant me to use these things with moderation, and not to be over-concerned about them. It is not right to ignore them, for nature bids us supply their needs;but the law of holiness forbids us to crave for needless luxuries, since the body then revolts against the spirit. In all things, I pray You, let Your hand guide and govern me, that moderation may be rule at all times.

LATE POST Work done today at art therapy session.

This may be upside down but does that really matter and who is to say

that it doesn't work either way up. Oh you! Yes I will grant you that. 

Good afternoon to those in the uk and whatever time it is for others. In the above painting it looks like towards to top right, there is a stoic little creature with a cloud that is also a rock hanging over his head! I like the light in this art `peace` , especially where it follows  dark lines arcing beneath it. 

Generally this is a bright optimistic work that I am very pleased with. 

My youngest son is just arriving and so I shall bid you farewell and give him my undivided attention.

Against Slander

CHRIST. My son, do not take it to heart if others think ill of you and say unpleasant things about you. I knew a man who longed so intensely for the salvation of this brethren, that with scolding tears and with his whole heart he often implored God, who is full of love for mankind, that either they might be saved with him or he might be condemned with them, for he refused absolutely to be saved alone. He was so bound to them spiritually by a holy love in the Holy Spirit that he would have preferred not to enter the Kingdom of heaven itself if it meant being separated from them.

Thats how I have felt about my late beloved wife Tracy, who gassed herself to death and in doing so gave me a brain injury.  If I can forgive her and move on with love, then I am sure that a God I ought to love can do the same!

A day or two ago, one of my sons said, "Dad my art teacher said, he has looked at your website, but he doesn't like your abstract painting, because its not of anything particular and anyone could do it." My ego wanted to arise; oh and what has he produced? He hasn't seen my cabinet making, nor my stain glass work and what about the ceramics! That was soon annihilated by, `That's fine for him to have an opinion, and I would like to see some of his art.` This was a genuine thought. This morning I do wonder, as I am having a one and a half art therapy session with Kate Rothwell, if I ought to just mention it to make sure that there are no underlying negative feelings. There doesn't seem to be. Its five fifty two in the morning and about to go and have a bath, taking an herbal tea and a mantra to meditate on. I heard a voice from Heaven

Good day and greetings of love and grace.

 This is the picture of a painting which I along with the influence of the Spirit of God, completed this morning. Below I will post some of the individual `peace`s` which attracted my attention.

I was reflecting on how recently I have enjoyed the actual process of painting and looking at the painting whilst still wet, more than the next day, when the paint has dried. It isnt just that it has lost its sheen. More it is that it has flattened out  and the colours more integrated. Its lost the vitality. Not completely mind you. When I say mind you, its out of a habit, which I have to destroy. 

I want to tell you a story about what can happen when we surrender the mind and just sit. Its the enlightenment experience of Dogen Zenji, the founder of the Japanese Soto Zen school. At the time, Dogen Zenji was studying at the monastery of his master, Tendo Nyojo, in China. The monks were practicing shikantaza, "just sitting." Dogen Zenji was sitting there, totally absorbed with just sitting. But the monk sitting next to him was tatally absorbed with just sleeping. This is not uncommon. At Soto monasteries the monks begin the day with zazen at four o`clock in the morning. To "help" the monks, the teacher walks through the zendo now and then. As Tendo Nyojo was walking by, he saw this poor fellow, sound asleep. Being a very kind teacher, Tendo Nyojo picked up the monk`s slipper and whacked him. Then he shouted, "Zazen is not sleeping. Its dropped off body and mind!" Hearing these words, Dogen Zenji dropped off body and mind and was enlighened.  

Don`t think that Tendo Nyojo`s words held some special magic. Dogen Zemji was able to let go of body and mind because he was totally involved in just sitting. He was in the samadhi of zazen. Dogen Zenji went on to become one of the greatest Zen teachers of all time, and his teaching is as true today as it was in the thirteenth century. He tells us to approach zazen with the body, not the mind. He stresses the importance of taking the correct posture and then tells us to just sit and be present.

So as a Zen Christian I do practice - but not yet enough - be still and know I AM God!

                                                     Signs of the New Birth
 Ye must be born again. John 3:7.
  The answer to the question "How can a man be born when he is old? is - When he is old enough to die - to die right out to his `rag rights,` to his virtues, to his religion, to everything, and to receive into himself the life which never was there before. The new life manifests itself in conscious repentance. and unconscious repentance and unconscious holiness.
  "As many as received Him." (John 1:12.) Is my knowledge of Jesus born of internal spiritual perception, or is it only what I have learned by listening to others? Have I something in my life that connects me with the Lord Jesus as my personal Saviour? All spiritual history must have a personal knowledge for its bedrock. To be born again means that I see Jesus.
  "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3.) Do I seek for signs of the Kingdom, or do I perceive God`s rule? The new birth gives a new power of vision whereby I begin to discern God`s rule. His rule was there all the time, but true to His nature; now that I have received His nature, I can see His rule.
  "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin," (1 John 3:9.) Do I seek to stop sinning or have I stopped sinning? To be born of God means that I have the supernatural power of God to stop sinning. In the Bible it is never-should a Christian sin? The Bible puts it emphatically-A Christian must not sin. The effective working of the new birth life in us is that we do not commit sin, not merely that we have the power not to sin, but that we have stopped sinning. 1 John 3:9 does not mean that we cannot sin; it means that if we obey the life of God in us, we need not sin.

Sin is separation  from God and this means being far from home. Home is where the heart is. So if we are in constant desire for God in the Holy Spirit to be in our hearts and our minds, then we will be united. United with not only God consciousness, but we will recognize other enlightened beings.
