Blessings, peace and love to you and all beings.

Blessings, peace and love to you and all beings.

Its the nearly the end of November, its Saturday 29th, but then I am sure you know this.

Its 5.35am ish. I wont be exact at the time of course is constantly changing.

We must learn to be present in each moment, with love, joy and forgiveness.

If you accept, as I do that in the beginning, before the universe was brought into existence of space, time, energy; there was a power before all. All that was and was timeless, yet created time and all that is now.
Well, here we are then.

Although I have been awake since around four in the morning, its only now that I am feeling a certain tranquility. I put a lot of this down to spending nearly an hour in meditation, prayer, but also then some time using the Procyon AVS audio visual synthesizer. One could and I will, describe it as a meditation machine.

Maisy`s concerned to get to the root of this!
Now she has her eyes on you!
She is all over the place. Now checking out my art.
                                                           Are you looking
                                    At Me!
A dog is not just for Christmas. Put some in the freezer and it will last into the new year. Joke. Honest Maisy.

As we near Christmas so many people will enter into a time of joy and merriment. Exchanging presents and imbibing of much food and alcohol. Not giving a thought to the real meaning of this greatest holiday season!

Yes its about exchanging gifts and extolling joy, peace and love, but its so much more.

I long ago, as now have my two sons, been confirmed into the Christian faith. Yet I realize that so many who call themselves Christians are not in reality. If we went into any western prison or church, or company board room; we will come across those who will with their mouths say, “Lord, Lord.” yet with there actions follow there own selfish desires. I had once been given a banknote and so assumed it was as it said, a twenty pound note. Yet when I tried to use it in exchange for some goods in a shop, was denied. The shopkeeper told me it was a counterfeit. I had not known when I accepted it, yet that did not change the fact that it was worthless. Do not be fooled by appearances.  We will find so many false people who will tell us that they will show us the way to salvation.
Being a Christian means to follow the way of Jesus. Jesus says to us, that however we treat the least of people, we treat Him. We are not to judge and yet we do. I do. I will often feel good (o what a self righteous wretch I can at times be!) when having bought something in a shop, I put the change in the charity box. Yet often I will look at a person who asks me to spare them some change and answer that I have none. I may actually have some and be thinking to myself that its not good for me to give to them. They are likely to be spending it on alcohol, or drugs. This is not an excuse, as one can on other occasions see these people in drunken, wasted states.
The God though who is meant to be in me, when I say, `I no longer live, yet Christ lives in me` did not come to judge, but to set us free.
Forty years ago, when I was a boy scout – before I broke the law and was sent to reform school – we were taught the motto, `Be prepared`. So now I will try to have change to give to those, with out questioning what they need it for. Jesus said that however I treat the least of His people, I treat Him. If I am to become a good follower of the Way ( I Am The Way, The Truth and The Life. Spoke Christ.) Then it is my duty to feed the hungry, heal the sick and comfort those who mourn.
Do not be fooled into thinking that you will find God in any temple or building, except your own body. Make your body the temple fit for the spirit of God to dwell. (Or not, it is up to you, if you have free will.)

This is the only way I will be sure to follow my bliss. No material things will give me real satisfaction, as they are all illusion.
I must be present in each moment with Love, joy and forgiveness!   This I send to you and all beings.
Your brother of Jesus Christ and all the saints, Peter. Post script, This I send to you and all beings. what was I on about there, its not like I had been drinking! Strange one that and so I suppose I can be a little bit strange at times. Why not as long as my heart is in it also! Blessings brothers and sisters upon you. Fish on Friday. A lot of spiritual learning from our Hindu siblings today as well as others.

Welcome brothers sisters and all who come to see this blog. Blessings upon you and through you to the whole universe.

Quantum physicists are beginning to sound like mystics. If this interests you, then I have copied an article towards the bottom of this blog.

One of the things I did in making the painting from which the above shot came from, was to dribble UPVA glue over the work as the last thing.

I like the colours and three dimensional feel to these two shots.

The basic oneness of the universe is not only the central
characteristic of the mystical experience, but is also one
of the most important revelations of modern physics.

"The most important discovery in the history of science"
-Prof.Henry Stapp, Quantum physicist.

Human consciousness and the physcal world
'Om Isha vasyam idam sarvam, yat kincha jagatyam jagat'
"All this- whatever exists in this
changing universe, is pervaded by God"
-Isa Upanishad

"Om purnamadah purnamidam purnaat purnamudachyate,
purnasya purnamadaya purnamevaavashishyate"

"That (pure consciousness) is full(perfect); this(the manifest universe of matter; of names and forms being maya) is full. This fullness has been projected from that fullness. When this fullness merges in that fullness, all that remains is fullness."
-Peace invocation- Isa Upanishad
The Supreme Brahman(God) is the only Reality. The idea of the phenomenal universe is falsely superimposed upon it."
-Swami Nikhilananda of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Centre, New York.

The interrelation of human consciousness and the observed world is obvious in Bell's Theorem. Human consciousness and the physical world cannot be regarded as distinct, separate entities. What we call physical reality, the external world, is shaped - to some extent - by human thought. The lesson is clear; we cannot separate our own existence from that of the world outside. We are intimately associated not only with the earth we inhabit, but with the farthest reaches of the cosmos.
Certain quantum physicists now say that each part of the universe contains all the information present in the entire cosmos itself (similar to a giant oak tree producing an acorn that contains all the information to replicate itself).

Rather a strange shot of my latest paintings. From me standing straddled across a stair handrail and a windowsill.

I so do not what to appear sacrilegious but my sister enjoyed some jokes I shared with her and so I will share them with you, in the hope you feel likewise...

A guy is driving around Oklahoma and he sees a sign in front of a
house: "Talking Dog For Sale." He rings the bell and the owner tells
him the dog is in the backyard.

The guy goes into the backyard and sees a Labrador Retriever sitting there.

"You talk?" he asks.

"Yep," the Lab replies.

"So, what's your story?"

The Lab looks up and says, "Well, I discovered that I could talk when
I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I told the CIA
about my gift, and in no time at all they had me jetting from country
to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no
one figured a dog would be eavesdropping. I was one of their most
valuable spies for eight years running.

"But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't
getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job
at the airport to do some undercover security wandering near
suspicious characters and listening in.

"I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of
medals. I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I'm just
retired."

The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.

"Ten dollars," the guy says.

"Ten dollars? This dog is amazing. Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?"

"Because he's a damn liar. He never did any of that stuff."

A burglar is stalking stealthily around the living room of the house
he's just broken into. He jumps with fright when he suddenly hears a
voice behind him saying "Croak, beware, Jesus watches you"

He turns around, swings the beam of his flashlight in to direction the
voice comes from and sees what indeed the voice had made him think
once he was over his first fright: a parrot. The bird repeats
"Croak, beware, Jesus watches you"

The burglar walks up to the cage and asks "And what may your name be?
The parrot answers "Coco." The burglar sniggers and says "I've always
found that a very stupid name for a parrot." The parrot answers
"Maybe, but not half as silly as Jesus for a Pit-bull terrier"

Whats this look on Maisys face, is it pensive?

There's a guy with a Doberman Pincher and a guy with a Chihuahua. The
guy with the Doberman Pincher says to the guy with the Chihuahua,
"Let's go over to that restaurant and get something to eat."

The guy with the Chihuahua says, "We can't go in there. We've got dogs with us."

The guy with the Doberman Pincher says, "Just follow my lead."

They walk over to the restaurant. The guy with the Doberman Pincher
puts on a pair of dark glasses and he starts to walk in. A guy at the
door says, "Sorry mac, no pets allowed."

The guy with the Doberman Pincher says, "You don't understand. This is
my seeing-eye dog."

The guy at the door says, "A Doberman Pincher?"

He says, "Yes, they're using them now, they're very good."

The guy at the door says, "Come on in."

The guy with the Chihuahua figures "what the hell," so he puts on a
pair of dark glasses and starts to walk in.

The guy at the door says, "Sorry pal, no pets allowed."

The guy with the Chihuahua says, "You don't understand.  This is my
seeing-eye dog."

The guy at the door says, "A Chihuahua?"

He says, "You mean they gave me a Chihuahua?"

A Greyhound Joke

Three race horses were bragging about their race averages.

"I won 5 out of 20 races," said the first horse.

"Oh yeah? I won 15 out of my 30," said the second.

"Hah! I won 50 out of 60," said the third.

Hiding behind a hay bale, a Greyhound was listening in on the
conversation. He steps into view and says, "Well I won 99 out of 100
of my races."

The third horse looks at the second horse and says,

"WOW!! A talking dog!"

Thought, Energy and Sacred Thoughts

Thought is a finer manifestation of being that either or energy. You think, because you share the universal thought.
That is both force and motion. Thought is dynamic. Thought moves. Thought decides the future. As you think, so you become. Thought makes a saint or a sinner. Thought can shape a man. Think that you are a saint and saint you become.
Sacred thoughts generate and sustain divine thoughts. Thoughts of hatred interfere with the inner harmony of the heart. Every useless thought is a waste of energy. Useless thoughts are a stumbling blocks to spiritual growth. What is the purpose in thinking about what we direct the mind to mull over? Negative evil thoughts cannot overcome fear. Patience overcomes anger and irritability. Love overcomes hatred. Purity overcomes lust. Mind is not daily made; in every minute it changes its colour and shape.

Quantum physicists are beginning to sound like mystics.

Two weeks ago, the Western scientific world was ablaze with excitement over the announcement by the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences that the Nobel Prize for physics this year was awarded to Serge Horoche of France and David Wineland of the United States, “for finding ways to observe and measure quantum particles without destroying them,” which had previously been regarded as impossible.
Prior  to the duo’s pioneering work, the behavior of very small particles of matter and light could only be imagined in  mathematical equations and mental experiments.
“Simple particles are not easily isolated from their surrounding environment, and they lose their mysterious quantum properties as soon as they interact with the outside world,” a statement from the Royal Academy of Science read.
“Thus, many seemingly bizarre phenomena predicted by quantum physics could not be directly observed and researchers could only carry out thought experiments that might in principle manifest these bizarre phenomena,” it added.
What are the practical implications of the discovery of these two physicists? According to the Royal Academy: “Their groundbreaking methods have enabled this field of research to take the very first steps toward building a new type of super-computer or teleport particles from one place to another based on quantum physics.”
Modern physics, also called quantum mechanics and particle physics, is the study of the behavior and properties of the smallest particles of matter. In particle physics, the much-revered laws of Newtonian physics do not apply, to the astonishment of classical scientists.
According to quantum physics, the universe is not what classical science has always assumed it to be. And what are these assumptions? We can summarize them as follows:
1.      Strong objectivity:  Classical science assumes that there is an objective world out there which is independent of us.
2.      Causal determinism:  This world is fundamentally deterministic, meaning if we know what forces are acting on an object, we will know exactly its position and velocity at any given time.
3.      Locality: This assumption says that all interactions between material objects happen in specific positions or locality independent of each other.
4.      Materialism:  This says that nothing exists in the universe except matter which follows established physical laws.
The discoveries of quantum physics have practically demolished all the above assumptions of classical or Newtonian physics.
Inexplicable
The New Physics enables scientists to explain various phenomena such as bilocation, telekinesis and teleportation, that are completely inexplicable in terms of the classical Newtonian physics. The universe, it turns out, is not what scientists have always assumed it to be.
As the great Danish physicist Niels Bohr, who was himself a Nobel Laureate, said, “Everything we call real is made of things that cannot be regarded as real.”
When quantum physicists tried to see what makes up the smallest particle of matter, they discovered to their great astonishment and disbelief that there is nothing there. Particles exist only after somebody observes them, which doesn’t make sense according to the old Newtonian physics.
And this is one of the reasons perhaps why Bohr said that, “If quantum mechanics hasn’t profoundly shocked you, you haven’t understood it yet.”
I do not completely understand quantum physics, not being a scientist myself, but that’s not the reason why I am not at all shocked by it. It’s because I find its theories and assumptions to be compatible with those of mysticism.
Even some major physicists seem to agree with this. For example, Sir Arthur Stanley Eddington said: “The stuff of the universe is mind stuff.” Much earlier, physicist James Jeans said: “The universe is one great thought.”
Compare the above statements of physicists with the ancient teachings of the Australian aborigines, that this world is nothing more than a dream created during Dreamtime. And the Buddhist teaching that the outside world is nothing but maya or illusion.
It seems, therefore, that there is a growing convergence between modern physics and mysticism, between science and ancient religion. Modern physicists are beginning to sound like mystics, and mystics are beginning to sound more like physicists, as pointed out by neuroscientist Dr. Laurence LeShan in “The Medium, The Physicist and the Mystic”; by physicist Fritjof Cupra in “The Tao of Physics”; by researchers Gary Zukav in the “The Dancing Wu Li Masters”; and by Michael Talbot in “Mysticism and the New Physics.”
To quantum physicists, therefore, paranormal and psychic phenomena no longer sound as crazy as they were once regarded to be.

EINSTEINBUDDHA
According to general relativity, the concept of space detached from any physical content does not exist.
-Einstein
If there is only empty space, with no suns nor planets in it, then space loses its substantiality.
-Buddha
Physical concepts are free creations of the human mind, and are not, however it may seem, uniquely determined by the external world.
-Einstein
All such notions as causation, succession, atoms, primary elements...are all figments of the imagination and manifestations of the mind.
-Buddha
Time and again the passion for understanding has led to the illusion that man is able to comprehend the objective world rationally by pure thought without any empirical foundations—in short, by metaphysics.
-Einstein
By becoming attached to names and forms, not realising that they have no more basis than the activities of the mind itself, error rises…and the way to emancipation is blocked.
-Buddha
In our thinking...we attribute to this concept of the bodily object a significance, which is to high degree independent of the sense impression which originally gives rise to it. This is what we mean when we attribute to the bodily object "a real existence." ...By means of such concepts and mental relations between them, we are able to orient ourselves in the labyrinth of sense impressions. These notions and relations...appear to us as stronger and more unalterable than the individual sense experience itself, the character of which as anything other than the result of an illusion or hallucination is never completely guaranteed.
-Einstein
I teach that the multitudinousness of objects have no reality in themselves but are only seen of the mind and, therefore, are of the nature of maya and a dream. ...It is true that in one sense they are seen and discriminated by the senses as individualized objects; but in another sense, because of the absence of any characteristic marks of self-nature, they are not seen but are only imagined. In one sense they are graspable, but in another sense, they are not graspable.
-Buddha
The belief in an external world independent of the perceiving subject is the basis of all natural science. Since, however, sense perception only gives information of this external world or of "physical reality" indirectly, we can only grasp the latter by speculative means. It follows from this that our notions of physical reality can never be final. We must always be ready to change these notions—that is to say, the axiomatic basis of physics—in order to do justice to perceived facts in the most perfect way logically.
-Einstein
While the Tathagata, in his teaching, constantly makes use of conceptions and ideas about them, disciples should keep in mind the unreality of all such conceptions and ideas. They should recall that the Tathagata, in making use of them in explaining the Dharma always uses them in the semblance of a raft that is of use only to cross a river. As the raft is of no further use after the river is crossed, it should be discarded. So these arbitrary conceptions of things and about things should be wholly given up as one attains enlightenment.
-Buddha

This is the END...  Of the blog.
