Fish on Friday. Overcoming

Good day to you my brothers and sisters.
Welcome to this blog, where after God, my brother Alan and me, you are the first to see shots from one of my latest artworks. With quotes from myself and others.

This blog and artwork, is called;

                    `Overcoming.`

“Be of good cheer. Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow. You have set yourselves a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will find a joy in overcoming obstacles. Remember, no effort that we make to attain something beautiful is ever lost.”

“He who is not everyday conquering some fear has not learned the secret of life.”

“The future will present insurmountable problems- only when we consider them insurmountable. ”

“All great men endure tribulations, to achieve their goals.”

“The fault in our stars is the inability to see that the world falls in love with fantasy, fairy-tales and magic in movies. Even religion asks us to believe in the most unlikely of situations. However, despite all the great movies we love, we choose to see so many real life spiritual experiences as delusion, mania, psychosis or wishful thinking. Our society gives great devotion to the arts. However, they solve so many problems with realism, rather than giving into the possibility of God's plan for a person, that doesn't involve their theological views about how God helps write his children's stories.”

“Everything can be achieved through gradual steps – one small step at a time: overcoming fears, fulfilling dreams... anything you wish to be different from the way it is.”

“YOU are the creator of your experience, therefore: all problems must be met within YOU.”

"Today is the first day of rest of our lives, you have chosen to participate in mine and I thank you. Who are you going to thank today?"

“The journey of unknown is life journey of graduate students. There are many mountains to be overcome. With hope, patient and courage you can soar high above the mountains and achieve your goals.”

“Þæs ofereode, þisses sƿa mæg.” (old English)
I cannot translate the above, but include it for
                                                 aesthetic value.

Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak.

One who gains strength by overcoming obstacles possesses the only strength which can overcome adversity

Happiness is dependent on self-discipline. We are the biggest obstacles to our own happiness. It is much easier to do battle with society and with others than to fight our own nature.

Indecision is a word that needs chopping up, re-arranging and turning around. Decision out!

The road to nowhere is an easy one with very minor obstacles. If your going is easy
look around for tougher terrain, as it holds the promise of a worthy destination.

Happiness is dependent on self-discipline. We are the biggest obstacles to our own happiness. It is much easier to do battle with society and with others than to fight our own nature.

A man does what he must - in spite of personal consequences, in spite of obstacles and dangers and pressures - and that is the basis of all human morality.

"Let us hope for tomorrow... together."

Our love is forever, as we join our hearts together. Nothing is more pure, and gracious, than to live our lives as one, but in separate souls.

Love isn't perfect. It isn't a fairytale or a storybook, and it doesn't always come easy. Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on and never letting go. Love is work, but most of all, love is realizing that every hour, every minute, every second can be worth it when we do it ... together."

We cannot discover new oceans unless we have the courage to lose sight of the shore and push the boat out.

Lets try to turn our personal struggles into something helpful for others.

The greater the difficulty, the more glory in surmounting it. Skillful pilots gain their reputation from storms and tempests.

Hope you have enjoyed today's blog with my artwork and quotes mainly by others but channelled through me to you my beloved brothers and sisters.  Your struggling but overcoming brother of Christ, Peter.
