Photows of my reccent art accompanied by quotes from our brother Walt Whitman,

Good day to you one and all. With blessings to you, upon you and through you, I shall without further ado present this blog.

All images and words which I lay down here, come to you all both as individuals and one, from my heart.

Enjoy and know that you are loved.

                                                    “I am large, I contain multitudes”

                                                “Do anything, but let it produce joy.”

                                                             “Peace is always beautiful.”

“O Me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring;
Of the endless trains of the faithless—of cities fill’d with the foolish;
Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?)
Of eyes that vainly crave the light—of the objects mean—of the struggle ever renew’d;
Of the poor results of all—of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me;
Of the empty and useless years of the rest—with the rest me intertwined;
The question, O me! so sad, recurring—What good amid these, O me, O life?

Answer.

That you are here—that life exists, and identity;
That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse.”
Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass

I dedicate this especially to one of you, ( sorry did I say one of you; it could be two or three) whom I haven't met yet but we are destined to meet and enjoy a love which transcends our previous experience of love.

               Read this and dwell for awhile in these words.

“Are you the new person drawn toward me?
To begin with, take warning - I am surely far different from what you suppose;
Do you suppose you will find in me your ideal?
Do you think it so easy to have me become your lover?
Do you think the friendship of me would be unalloy'd satisfaction?
Do you think I am trusty and faithful?
Do you see no further than this façade—this smooth and tolerant manner of me?
Do you suppose yourself advancing on real ground toward a real heroic man?
Have you no thought, O dreamer, that it may be all maya, illusion?”

 I will await you with patience and joy even beyond one lifetime if needs be..

                                  “Give me the splendid, silent sun with all his beams full-dazzling.”

                                                      “I too am not a bit tamed, I too am untranslatable,
I sound my barbaric yawp over the roofs of the world.”    (No you dont. Get over yourself Maisy.)

                                               “I celebrate myself, and sing myself,
                                              And what I assume you shall assume,
                                   For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.”

 “All beauty comes from beautiful blood and a beautiful brain. If the greatnesses are in conjunction in a man or woman it is enough...the fact will prevail through the universe...but the gaggery and gilt of a million years will not prevail. Who troubles himself about his ornaments or fluency is lost. This is what you shall sow: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body...”

                                                       Your very flesh shall be a great poem...”

    Well folks I am back to showing you a shot of the work with I added flakes of pure 22ct gold leaf. Because I like it and felt blessed to have access to such material to work with. Lets give a prayer to those without any materials and yet with great yearning in their hearts to create art. May they find around them and inexplicably coming to them that which will suffice and enable them to fulfill their creative desires. In the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all was created.
     We approach the end of todays blog my brothers and sisters. Please spend a moment to center your being in peace and love. I pray for the power to come to you in that you overcome any obstacles in you path and that your hearts are gladdened with joy, in Jesus name. Amen
