Good day to you.
May blessings
& Peace be
upon us.
I used my artist licence here as this sunny picture was in all actuality taken
yesterday, which was saturday!
The following painting was also
painted yesterday.
TERTULLIAN
Tertullain was the first Christian author to write in
Latin, and so the first to use the word `Trinity`, and many other
`technical` words used later in theological debates. He was probably
converted to Christianity while practising law in Rome. Returning
to his native Carthage, in North Africa, he became a witty and
effective teacher of Christian doctrine.
GOD FROM GOD
When a ray is projected from the sun it is a
portion of the whole sun; but the sun will be
in the ray because it is a ray of the sun ; the
substance is not separated but extended. So
from spirit comes spirit, and God from God,
as light is kindled from light . . . This ray of
God . . . glided down into a virgin, in her
womb was fashioned as flesh, is born as man
mixed with God. The flesh was built up by
the spirit, was nourished, grew up, spoke,
taught, worked, and was Christ.
--- FROM APOLOGY---
LONG PRAYERS IN MEETINGS
Commonly, those who pray long in a meeting
do so, not because they have the spirit of prayer,
but because they have not. Some men will spin
out a long prayer in telling God who and what
he is, or they pray out a whole system of divinity
Some preach ; others exhort the people - till
everybody wishes they would stop and God wishes
so too, most undoubtedly. They should keep to the
point, and pray for what they came to pray for, and
not follow the imagination of their own hearts all
over the universe.
--- FROM `LECTURES ON REVIVALS ---
OF RELIGION`
Okay my brothers and sisters. As Harry, my youngest son stayed overnight, he is eager to go on this electric machine or device. He doesnt appreciate that I didnt have the same option at his age on a sunday morning, when I was his age. I had to wait until Thursday! The old though must make way for the new blood, so say I must bid you farewell. Your brother in Christ and of the Buddha and all the Saints. Peter G Kimble
